Position Summary
We are seeking a talented System Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and managing our software, hardware, and networks. You will play a crucial part in ensuring our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently.
System Administrator Responsibilities:
- Install and configure software, hardware and services.
- Manage cloud solutions, servers, and networks.
- Implement and maintain security measures, including access control lists and firewalls.
- Manage backup and recovery systems.
- Monitor system performance and conduct necessary maintenance.
- Plan and procure technical equipment and software subscriptions.
- Provide expert guidance on system options, requirements, and cost benefit analyses.
- Establish and maintain an internal documentation portal.
- Plan and implement system enhancements.
- Handle user onboarding and offboarding.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows (administrator level), and Linux (experienced user level).
- Proficiency with virtualization, primarily Microsoft Hyper-V.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office 365, Azure/Entra ID, Microsoft Intune, and Enterprise Applications Deployment.
- Solid networking experience (firewalls, routing, VLANs, ACLs, VPN, Wireless APs, etc.).
- Familiarity with Atlassian Stack (Jira Cloud / Confluence Cloud).
- Experience with backup/recovery software tools or services.
- Basic RDBMS administration and SQL skills.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python) for task automation.
- Strong English language skills (company's official language).
- Understanding of SSL/TLS certificates.
- BSc/Ba in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) is a plus.
Bonus Skills (optional, but would be a plus):
- Experience with cloud providers (Azure, Digital Ocean).
- Mikrotik expertise (firewall, VPN, mangle, site-to-site tunnels).
- Basic DevOps skills (Git/SVN, Jenkins, Docker).
- Familiarity with website management control panels (CloudFlare, cPanel).
- Web application security knowledge.
